Our company had two containers of textile goods shipped from Ningbo,China, to Sokhna,Egypt, in April 2026, with the original carrier being SLS. 

However, due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the cargo was first discharged in India and then transshipped to Jeddah, where the two containers are currently stranded.

We have now been informed that the original carrier, SLS, has completely abandoned responsibility for this shipment.

We would like to inquire whether your company can arrange new bookings for these two containers in Jeddah and ship them to Sokhna, Egypt. 

If so, could you please provide us with a quotation for all associated costs?  

We have obtained critical latest update from former SLS/Sealead senior staff:

The shipping line has completely suspended all operations, and no local China office staff is available to handle or follow up this shipment anymore.

Most importantly, we have confirmed officially:

THIS SHIPMENT AND CONTAINERS ARE NOT UNDER ANY SANCTIONS.

The container itself is safe and allowed for normal transit, no need for container replacement.

Now the cargo is stranded in Jeddah and cannot proceed to Sokhna. Our consignee is urgently confused and has no further instructions.

We sincerely need your professional help to provide all feasible & practical solutions for us to transfer these two containers from Jeddah to Sokhna.

Kindly also advise:

1. Can we appoint a reliable third-party forwarder to arrange independent sea feeder transit from Jeddah to Sokhna with the original containers?

2. If full-container transit is not possible, what is the formal procedure for bonded warehouse devanning & re-export?
